Expanded 15-Digit International Direct Distance Dialing (IDDD) Update 11/12/98

This disclosure provides an announcement of further deployment of Expanded 15-Digit International Direct Distance Dialing. The following summary and interface specification were announced in Network Disclosure #383 and are reiterated below as this document completely replaces #383. An asterisk in the left margin denotes a change or addition to the previous release.
Summary:	Qwest intends to support International Telecommunications Union - Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) Recommendation E.164 which has been modified to provide an expanded international numbering plan by increasing the allowable number of digits from 12 to 15. In order to retain existing International Direct Distance Dialing (IDDD) to those countries that expand their dialing plan, the switching and billing capabilities to accommodate a maximum of 15 digits are required. Countries can expand their dialing plans at Time T. Time T has been designated as 23:59 hours, December 31, 1996 UTC, Coordinated Universal Time or 5:59PM CST, 4:59PM MST, and 3:59PM PST. CPE Vendors/Manufacturers and Enhanced Service Providers are strongly encouraged to contact their equipment manufacturers to insure compatibility as significant call processing and billing issues are present.
Location and Timing of Deployment:		Locations where Time T is currently available can be found in the Attachment. If the interface for Time T changes in the future, Qwest will issue a new Network Disclosure. In addition, any new deployment locations will be updated and added to this Qwest web site at http://www.qwest.com/disclosures in disclosure #425.
