Setup Elpasotel.net Email on Outlook 2003



1. Do the following:
  • 1. Select "Tools"
  • 2. Select "E-Mail Accounts"


2. Do the following:
  • 1. Select "Add a new e-mail account"
  • 2. Select "Next"


3. Do the following:
  • 1. Select "POP3"
  • 2. Select "Next"


4. Enter the following:
  • 1. Your Name
  • 2. Your Email Address


5. Enter pop3.elpasotel.net for the "Incoming mail server (POP3)".



6. Enter smtp.elpasotel.net for the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)".



7. Enter your Full Email Address for the "User Name".



8. Enter your "Password".



9. Select "More Settings".



10. Select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Verify the following is selected:
  • My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  • Use same settings as my incoming mail server


11. Select the "Advanced" tab. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter 995 for the "Incoming server (POP3)"
  • 2. Check the box next to "This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL)"


12. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter 587 for the "Outgoing server (SMTP)"
  • 2. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server"
  • 3. Select "OK"


13. Select "Next".



14. Select "Finish".
