Setup QwestOffice.net Email on Outlook 2007



1. Select "Tools".



2. Select "Account Settings".



3. Select "New".



4. Select "Manually configure server settings or additional server types".



5. Select "Next".



6. Select "Internet E-mail".



7. Select "Next".



8. Enter the following:
  • 1. Your Name
  • 2. Your Email Address


9. Select "POP3".



10. Enter pop.qwestoffice.net for the "Incoming mail server".



11. Enter smtp.qwestoffice.net for the "Outgoing mail server (SMTP)".



12. Enter your Full Email Address for the "User Name".



13. Enter your "Password".



14. Select "More Settings".



15. Select the "Outgoing Server" tab. Verify the following is selected:
  • My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication
  • Use same settings as my incoming mail server


16. Select the "Advanced" tab. Enter 110 for the "Incoming server (POP3)".



17. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter 465 for the "Outgoing Mail (SMTP) port"
  • 2. Select SSL for "Use the following type of encryption connection"
  • 3. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on the server"
  • 4. Select "OK"


18. Select "Next".



19. Select "Finish".



20. Select "Close".
