Setup Centurylink.net, Embarqmail.com Email on Windows Mail

^These settings work for the following domains: embarqmail.com, centurytel.net, cswnet.com, clds.net, coastalnow.net, cochill.net, emadisonriver.com, emadisonriver.net, gallatinriver.net, grics.net, gulftel.com, madisonriver.biz, mebtel.net

1. Select "Accounts".

2. Select "Email".

3. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter "Your Email Address"
  • 2. Enter "Your Password"

4. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter "Your Name"
  • 2. Select "Manually configure server settings"
  • 3. Select "Next"

5. Enter the following for 'Incoming server information':
  • 1. Server Type: POP
  • 2. Server address: pop.centurylink.net
  • 3. Port: 995
  • 4. Check "Requires a secure connection (SSL)"
  • 5. Logon user name: Full Email Address

6. Enter the following for 'Outgoing server information':
  • 1. Server address: smtp.centurylink.net
  • 2. Check "Requires authentication"
  • 3. Port: 587
  • 4. Select 'Next'

7. Select "Finish".

8. CenturyLink recommends "leaving a copy of email(s) on the server." To do this:
  • Select "Tools". Select "Accounts"
  • Highlight the account you want to edit, then select "Properties"
  • Select the "Advanced" tab
  • Check the box that says "Leave a copy of messages on the server"
  • Select "OK"
