Setup Qwest.net Email on Windows Mail



1. Do the following:
  • 1. Select "Tools"
  • 2. Select "Accounts"


2. Select "Add".



3. Do the following:
  • 1. Select "E-mail Account"
  • 2. Select "Next"


4. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter "Your Name"
  • 2. Select "Next"


5. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter "Your Email Address"
  • 2. Select "Next"


6. Select POP3 .



7. Enter pop.mpls.qwest.net.



8. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter pop.mpls.qwest.net
  • 2. Select "Next"


9. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter your "Email username". If your email address is customer@qwest.net, the username would be customer. You can test your email address and password by signin into Webmail.
  • 2. Enter "Your Password"
  • 3. Select "Next"


10. Select "Finish".



11. Select "Close".



12. Do the following:
  • 1. Highlight the account you just created
  • 2. Select "Properties"


13. Select the "Advanced" tab. Enter 587 for "Outgoing mail (SMTP)".



14. Do the following:
  • 1. Enter 110 for "Incoming Mail (POP3)"
  • 2. Check the box next to "Leave a copy of messages on server"
  • 3. Select "OK"


15. Select "Close".
