Static IP Block on an Actiontec M1000

1. Open a web browser and go to

2. Select "Quick Setup"

3. Select "Advanced IP Configuration"

4. Select "PPPoE"

5. Enter your "PPP Username", "PPP Password" and "Confirm PPP Password".

6. Do the following:
  • Select "Block of Static IP Addresses"
  • Enter your "Gateway Address" and "Subnet Mask"
  • LAN DHCP Addressing: Public Static Subnet (VIP mode off)*
*If you select Public Static Subnet this will cause the modem to assign all devices on the network a WAN IP address. If you need the modem to hand out LAN IP Addresses, see Private LAN Subnet (VIP mode).

7. Do the following:
  • Select "Static DNS"
  • Primary DNS:
  • Secondary DNS:

8. Select "Apply"
