We are going to show you how to test your DSL at the NID (telephone network interface, DMARC) which is usually located on the outside of the house.
You will need:
- 1. Access to the NID (telephone network interface, DMARC)
- 2. Flat head screw driver
- 3. Phone cord (the cord from the modem kit or one that is less that 15 ft long)
- 4. DSL modem [with power cord]
- 5. Extension cord
- 6. Power Outlet
Wait (it may take up to 5 minutes) for the Power, DSL, and Internet lights to turn green.
Select the results of your testing:
A. My DSL light turned solid green at the NID, but not when connected to a jack inside my house
B. My DSL light is still flashing
